Who holds back his feelings, A or B?

The Answer is A.

A is leaning to the left and therefore holds back his feelings. Why is leaning to the left "holding back"? Left is back, and right is forward -- where do we get that from? Have you ever heard the phrase a "left handed" compliment? Or someone with "two left feet"? Why do we say someone is your "right hand man"? Why do we talk about starting on the "right foot"?

Since we are moving from left to right on the paper, leaning our writing to the right shows that we are leaning into the direction we are going; we are "going with the flow." To lean our writing to the left as we proceed from left to right across the paper indicates that we are holding back, repressing our feelings.
